| Replacement Bearings and Oil Seals Bearings Four Bearing design is standard except on some hollow shaft styles which rely on support from the power side motor bearings. The bearing type is determined by unit size and thrust loading. 5000 series bearings are double row angular contact bearings which provide 24" contact angles and can support lateral thrust loads as well as radial loads. 6000 series are Conrad bearings, non-filling slot type. 30,000 series bearing are taper roller bearings. All seals are nitrite, spring loaded lip type, metric sized. The number denotes seal ID, OD and width in millimeters. Seals are installed from the inside of the covers (except sizes 34-45) to prevent damage from outside sources. The chart below indicates both singles lip (SC) and double lip (TC) types. When desired for specific environments, all double lip oil seals can be installed at the factory or by Cleveland Gear. Consult Cleveland Gear Offices for additional costs.
